Welcome!

My name is Amanda Head. I graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with an Early Childhood and Elementary Education degree. I am currently seeking my Master in Collaborative Special Education from the University of West Alabama. This is my fifth year teaching first grade in the Jefferson County School District in Jefferson County, Alabama. I currently teach at Hueytown Elementary School. Hueytown is a very diverse school. We have students of many different races and socioeconomic statuses. Diversity is the differences that people have. My goal in my classroom is to foster a learning environment that brings out the strengths and differences of every student and creates a culture of learning so that all learners can meet their potential and learn as much as they can.

The goal of this virtual portfoli is to show how technology can help grow the learning environment and all students for the better.

Thanks for visiting!
